The National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that was formed in 1995 to develop and maintain a globally competitive American workforce.Although NIMS was originally formed to support metalworking companies, our STS training framework and technology is compatible to any industry or discipline.
The vision of NIMS is to build a globally competitive workforce through collaboratively established industry standards, proven training frameworks and technology that dynamically respond to our technology-driven economy.
Our mission is to help organizations improve overall performance by executing and validating training with standards that reflect what individuals will face on the job and recognize all stakeholders for their success.
