Framework

The Framework is our training Know-How and consists of three Pillars:

SMART Training Principles

Smart Training Principles are seven (7) universal and timeless constants associated with On-the-Job Training (OJT). Companies can take an online self-evaluation to visualize the degree to which your current behaviors align with your training principals. Further, our team can conduct a Needs Analysis to collaboratively determine the most critical training behaviors you need based on your operational circumstances.

STS technology is configured to support your desired training behaviors.

SMART Standards

Smart standards are duty-based… identifying what you do and decisions you make in the workplace. The term “duty” is synonymous with “standard”. Each duty is an individual standard that includes a warehouse of task-based standards to drill down to the specificity of an organization. These standards are the building blocks for training and evaluation. NIMS provides access to a rich repository of industry-recognized Smart Standards to build your digital twin. These standards can be viewed in our Interactive Standards Viewer (ISV).

SMART Performance Measures

Smart Performance Measures (PMs) are customized assessment for evaluating worker performance in the natural flow of work. PMs include a blend of actual workplace activities an individual will be assigned on the job. The ideal blend is a minimal subset of activities that demand the full set of duties (standards) established by the organization.
